Who are Health Improvement Scotland?
Health Improvement Scotland (HIS) is the national healthcare improvement organisation for Scotland. It a public body which is part of the Scottish National Health Service. From April 2016 all private clinics must be registered with HIS.
What does this mean for you?
HIS have set out a set of standards which all private clinics must adhere to. It means that you can be assured that:
All staff are trained to do the job which they perform
All lasers and equipment have been certified safe for use
Any of your personal data collected by Butterfly Medispa will be stored safely and not shared with any third parties
The clinic environment is clean, safe and fit for purpose
We are insured for both public liability and all treatments carried out
Our policies and procedures are robust and set out to ensure should a treatment result in a complication we are equipped to deal with it.
Health Improvement Scotland will carry out regular inspection of our practice and clinic to ensure that we adhere to standards set out. Should any issues or complaints arise which we do not deal with satisfactorily then your complaint can be escalated to HIS.
